Oklahoma couple have white wedding during NYC blizzard

They could have gone to the Bahamas, but an Oklahoma couple decided to have their wedding in New York — and landed smack in the middle of a blizzard with near-Arctic temperatures.

Blushing bride Jodi Cagley, 28, had to exchange her red suede heels for a pair of Burberry rain boots once she exchanged vows with Andrew Dozier at the City Clerk’s Office Friday morning.

“I always wanted to see New York in the snow in the winter. It’s beautiful,” said Cagley, who welcomed the frigid snowstorm in a white tulle and lace floor-length gown.

The bride’s only sister, Cori, missed the ceremony after her flight from Oklahoma was canceled. But nine other friends and family members were able to make the nuptials.

Only a few couples braved the wintry weather Friday to tie the knot.

“Usually, Fridays are the biggest day of the week. It would have been much busier if not for the storm,” said Chief City Clerk Michael McSweeney.
