INSIDE THE MATCHUPS

METS: Harvey only has gotten better in his two second-half starts. He hasn’t given up an earned run in the 15-inning span, while striking out 17. He is coming off a run-of-the-mill eight-inning, one-unearned-run no-decision against Washington on Friday, an eventual 2-1 Nationals victory.

MARLINS: Koehler will try to rebound from a hiccup against Pittsburgh on Friday, when he lasted just five innings, allowing five earned runs, nine hits and three walks in a 7-4 loss. He had been on a four-game hot streak going into that game, tossing a combined 23 innings while surrendering seven earned runs (2.74). Three of the four games were Miami victories.

STAT SO?

METS: Harvey has given up one or fewer runs in 13 starts this season. But he has just six wins in those starts. During that time he also has racked up six no-decisions and a loss.

MARLINS: When teams get to Koehler, they tend to do it early. Opponents are hitting .353 in the first inning against the 27-year-old, and he is sporting a 10.50 ERA in the opening inning, allowing 14 earned runs in 12 starts this season.
