WEDDING-BELLE J.LO ; GUSHES, ‘YES!’ BEN’S SET TO BE HER HUBBY NO. 3

Jennifer Lopez has finally confirmed what we’ve all suspected for weeks – she is on her way to the altar once again, for the third time in just five years.

The luscious Latina star, who’s not yet divorced from Hubby No. 2, says she and movie hunk Ben Affleck are engaged to be married.

“Yes!” J.Lo tells Diane Sawyer on ABC’s “Primetime,” to be aired 10 p.m. Wednesday.

And she hints that Ben popped the question the old-fashioned way, on bended knee.

“[It was] traditional, but also in a very spectacular way, as of course Ben would do it. It was very, very beautiful,” Jennifer says.

She also admits that she and Ben have visited a church in Boston but remains cagey about whether it’ll be the place they walk down the aisle.

“Yes, we did stop by the church there, [but] we don’t have any plans to get married at that specific church at this specific time,” she teases.

J.Lo says when she first met her latest soulmate, she feared he was another one of those “playboy types, skirt chasers. I’ve told him, too.”

Her first marriage, to waiter Ojani Noa, ended in divorce just a year after their February 1997 ceremony.

Then J.Lo dumped longtime boyfriend Sean “P. Diddy” Combs to marry dancer Cris Judd in September 2001, a union that fell apart in nine months, with the actress-singer declaring “irreconcilable differences.” Their divorce papers won’t be finalized until January.

So will Ben, a reformed boozer who spent time in rehab last year, be the guy who finally works for her?

“We’ve talked about this so many times, and we talked about how people kind of see him with one type of person and me with another type of person,” she says.

“And the two of us together is like ‘How did that happen?’ “

But J.Lo, 32, insists she and Ben, 30, are “probably more alike and from the same kind of background, same kind of upbringing and same kind of family and same kind of house.”

Asked how she would describe Affleck to somebody who had never met him, Lopez gushes:

“I’d probably say that he is brilliantly smart . . . loving, charming, affectionate. And I just admire him in every way. I respect him, I feel like he teaches me things.

“He is my partner, he is my best friend, and we talk about everything and we support each other to the end.”

She says the initial meeting between Ben and her wary mom went surprisingly well.

“I was like, ‘Look, she never really likes anybody I’m with, so be prepared.’ And he was like, ‘OK.’ But he won her over in true Affleck fashion,” she says.

The couple are currently filming their first movie together, “Jersey Girl.”
