GREENBERG, 26, AND SMENTEK, 31

OCT. 21 – Some say that falling in love is all about the little things, and Stefanie Greenberg and Scott Smentek would agree. Though Smentek was living in Michigan when he met Greenberg on Lavalife.com in June 2003, he had a job offer lined up in New York, and would coincidentally be moving 15 blocks from his future bride. “I ended up calling him the night he moved in, and when we met the following evening, we hugged and just didn’t want to let go of each other,” says Greenberg, a marketing manager for Dow Jones. Smentek, a vice president at Citigroup, popped the question in 2005 while on vacation in Turks and Caicos. During a moonlit walk on the beach, Smentek unexpectedly dropped to one knee and proposed. The Manhattanites tied the knot and celebrated their reception at Battery Gardens restaurant in Battery Park, joined by 110 guests. Says Greenberg, “I can’t wait to see all that life has to offer with my best friend by my side.”
