WHAT’S UP

TODAY WE ARE THE WORLD: After introducing world music to little ears for nearly a decade, the Putumayo Kids label is taking it to Joe’s Pub. The monthly concert series kicks off today with Music for Aardvarks founder David Weinstone, featured on the “Sing Along With Putumayo” CD. Noon, $12 for kids under 12, $15 for adults. Joe’s Pub, 425 Lafayette St.; (212) 539-8500.

THE BRIGHT STUFF: As colorful as a bag of jelly beans, the Doodlebops are back in town. What with Deedee, Rooney and Moe Doodle’s Day-Glo makeup and wacky wigs, even those in the last row are guaranteed an eyeful (and an earful). Today at 2 and 5 p.m., tomorrow at 1 p.m., $15 to $69. The WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden, Seventh Avenue, between 32nd and 34th streets; (212) 307-7171.

TOMORROW PICTURE THIS: “Beyond the Wall: The Jerusalem Project” displays the boundary-crossing photos taken by 24 Israeli children – half of them Jewish, half Palestinian – who were given free photography lessons. Presented by Kids With Cameras (the folks behind the Oscar-winning “Born Into Brothels”). 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., free. The JCC in Manhattan, 334 Amsterdam Ave., at 76th Street; (646) 505-5808.

HEAVENLY CREATURES: Animal lovers of every denomination are welcome at the annual Blessing of the Animals. Camels, eagles and boa constrictors are just a few of the species blessed in the past. After the 11 a.m. service (first come, first served), there’ll be an outdoor fair with a petting zoo, music and more that goes until 4 p.m. Free (bring cash for food). The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 112th Street and Amsterdam Avenue; (212) 316-7490.
