BRET WILL ‘ROCK’ AGAIN

BRET Michaels is going to try again.

The front man for the rock band Poison has agreed to star in “Rock of Love 2” – the hit dating show on VH1 – after it became clear last week that the girl he’d chosen at the end was dumping him.

That’s good news for VH1, which has struck gold with a string of dating-show spoofs that began with “Flavor of Love” two years ago.

Nearly 5 million viewers tuned into the “Rock of Love” finale two weeks ago and another 4 million came back to see a reunion show last Sunday. “Rock” has been among the top-10 rated shows on cable for weeks.

A casting notice seeking women for the second series appeared yesterday on MySpace.

The notice did not reveal the name of the show, but said auditions for the “rock n’ roll relationship show” would be held in Los Angeles.

No date for the new show was given but, in light of the casting call, taping will apparently begin quickly.

There had been a lot of speculation that “Rock 2” was in the works when Jes, the Chicago bartender Michaels selected from 20 girls who started the show, told him on the reunion show that he’d made a mistake picking her.

She said she did not think she could handle the rock-star lifestyle he led.

But, according to reports, she has gone back to her boyfriend in Chicago.

No date for the new show was given.
