LOTS MORE TO LOVE ABOUT NEW NYC AD

Move over, New York state and “I Love New York” – it’s the city’s turn to strut the world stage with an unprecedented $30 million global advertising campaign.

Mayor Bloomberg called old hat the state’s wildly successful “I Love New York” promotion, first developed in 1977.

“That’s been around a long time and you have to keep changing,” Bloomberg said, calling the new campaign “more upbeat than just ‘I Love New York.’ ”

The 60-second tourism TV spot, played at Nasdaq headquarters on Times Square, portrays an awestruck tourist couple and their daughter marveling at the city’s wonders.

The mayor has set a goal of 50 million visitors by 2015, about 6 million more than paraded around town last year.
