STRAY SHOT HITS BX. MOTORIST

A man was struck by a stray bullet yesterday as he was driving through The Bronx, police said.

The slug hit Manuel Marino, 38, of Kearny, N.J., as he was driving his Pontiac Grand Prix along the service road of the Bruckner Expressway near East 135th Street at 3:30 p.m., police said.

Marino heard the shot and felt the bullet as it went through his shoulder and landed in his lap, police said.

He was able to pull over without incident.

He was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condi- tion, and was released last night.

It was unclear what caliber of gun the bullet came from.

Cops said only fragments were recovered.

Police are still looking for the gunman.
