Alberto Dominguez left his sister’s house in Boston on Sept. 11, 2001, and boarded American Airlines Flight 11, which crashed into the World Trade Center’s north tower.

Nearly six years later, he is finally home.

The Medical Examiner’s Office announced it had identified Dominguez’s remains, which were found during the initial search at Ground Zero.

They were identified with the help of new DNA technology.

Dominguez was a 66-year-old from Australia who had worked as a baggage handler for Qantas Airlines for 21 years.

He joins 1,607 of 2,749 World Trade Center victims who have been identified.
