JULY 7 – Maurizio Pipitone, a New York City Local 3 electrician, was certain he wanted to marry Santina Emilio on the “luckiest day of the century,” 7-7-07. Hoping to reap the day’s good tidings, the bride, an investment bank analyst in Manhattan, says, “You hear all these wedding horror stories, so we were waiting for mishaps, but nothing happened!” After a seamless ceremony at Our Lady of Grace Church in Brooklyn, the bridal party went on a whirlwind photo shoot of N.Y.C. landmarks, including Times Square and The Plaza Hotel, ending at Russo’s on the Bay in Howard Beach just in time for cocktail hour.
