RUBBER ROMEOS WANTED

It may well be the hardest job around – but applicants are expected to be excited, motivated and straight shooters.

Condom-maker Durex wants men – and women – to become test pilots in their bedroom brigade, putting prophylactics through their paces.

“What we’re looking to do is recruit people from across the country,” said company spokesman Steven Mare.

The company has already gotten 4,000 applicants from around the United States and Canada since it started the promotion on Monday.

Applicants have to submit an essay, explaining why they are best suited to rate the rubbers.

The number of applicants for the volunteer positions is expected to reach six figures.

The testers will each get a dozen condoms, along with some lubricant and a “vibrating ring,” the purpose of which can’t be described in a family newspaper.

Durex wants the condom testers to put the latex products through their paces, and then file reports on how the rubbers perform from the standpoint of comfort and sensitivity.

The joy of the job will be the only payment testers receive – though one lucky participant will get a $1,000 cash prize.
