What about Brian? Brian Williams, who’s hosting “Saturday Night Live” Nov. 3 (with musical guest Feist), saw his “NBC Nightly News” win the evening-news race in total viewers last week for the second consecutive week – in a field that’s been dominated by ABC’s “World News” (Charlie Gibson).

For the week of Oct. 15-19, “Nightly News” averaged 8.2 million viewers to 8.1 million for “World News” – which did, however, win the “money” demo of adults 25-54 by a 70,000-viewer margin over “Nightly.”

They’re not married. It just seems that way. John Shea and Margaret Colin, who played Adrian Grenier’s parents in “Adventures of Se bastian Cole,” and teamed in the feature “A Broken Sole,” have joined the cast of “Gos sip Girl” as Blair’s (Leighton Meester) parents.

Meanwhile, ABC’s “Saman tha Who?” (Christina Apple gate) had a strong second week, averaging 13.7 million viewers and finishing second in adults 18-49 (9:30-10 p.m.).

And Diddy reveals to Donny Deutsch tonight (10 p.m./CNBC) that he’s sold a show to VH1 which will re volve around him interview ing assistants. “Donny actually stole one of my assistants, so this Diddy-Donny thing has been going on for a long time now,” he says. * * *

Fox News is partnering with ThePalestra.com (which tracks college culture) for content to appear on Fox News Channel and Foxnew s.com. ThePalestra.com’s re porters include NBC spawns Tom Trudeau (son of Jane Pauley and Garry Trudeau) and Stefan Holt (son of Les ter Holt).

Last, but not least: * Tonight: A screening/ panel discussion of HBO’s “To Die in Jerusalem” opens Docfest 07 (Paley Center). “Die” airs Nov. 1.
