DA: Bronx cop in phony fotog bust

A Bronx cop has been indicted for filing bogus charges against a news photographer who had been taking pictures of him on the job, officials said yesterday.

Officer Michael Ackerman, 30, was slapped with five charges, including tampering with public records and official misconduct, Bronx DA Robert Johnson said.

The charges stem from his arrest of Robert Stolarik, 43, who was taking pictures of a brawl for The New York Times, on Aug. 4, 2012.

Ackerman claimed Stolarik’s flash interfered with an arrest, but none of the pictures showed any signs of flash, the DA said.

Ackerman, arraigned yesterday and released without bail, could face up to seven years in prison.
