Nearly 25,000 homeowners will be getting notices from the city threatening liens on their properties unless they pay their water and property-tax bills within three months, officials said yesterday.
They owe a total of $469.8 million.
“Every property that appears on the lien-sale list is eligible for participation in the Payment Incentive Program, which offers deep discounts on overdue water and sewer charges,” said Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Emily Lloyd.
