AGENDA

This week: Rock out on the Web; learn some spicy moves; ‘Shout It Out Loud’ at the cinema; get dressed with Playboy; and head to Whoville with Jim Carrey.

March 9 – 15

Kiss and makeup

Under St. Marks, 94 St. Marks Place; (212) 777-7987

Tue. 11 – Film

There are few sights as memorable as seeing the band Kiss hanging out at a swimming pool in full costume and makeup. That’s one of many fascinating cinematic moments in the band’s Scooby Doo-esque 1978 film “Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park,” which screens at Under St. Marks Tuesday at 7 p.m. After the $7 screening, Kiss fans are invited to nearby club Lit (93 Second Ave.), where there will be Kiss makeovers and a live performance by tribute band Creatures of the Night.

Playboy tees fund election

Bloomingdale’s lower level men’s department, 1000 Third Ave.; (212) 705-2000

Wed. 12 – Fashion

Generally, when thinking of Playboy, “shirtless” comes to mind. Not so Wednesday, when a new line of Playboy “Rock the Rabbit” T-shirts go on sale, featuring the iconic bunny as reimagined by rockers including Iggy Pop, Daft Punk and Duran Duran. Legendary rock photographer Mick Rock and Playmate Lindsey Vuolo will be on hand to pose with those who fork over $28 for the designer duds, from which some proceeds will be donated to Rock the Vote.

I.O. Let’s Zydeco

Connolly’s, 121 W. 45th St.; (212) 597-5126

Sun. 9 – Dance

Those who knew there was a Cajun Music Hall of Fame will be thrilled to learn that accordionist/singer Jesse Lege and his band Bayou Brew are celebrating Lege’s 10th year as a member by bringing their Big Easy sound to Connolly’s tonight for a 7:30 p.m. show. Arrive at 6:30 p.m. for Cajun dance lessons and stay for live music expected to go on until 11 p.m. Tickets are $20.

Mon 10 – Web/Music

Wanna go to Kuwait? Probably not so much. Do you want to see Carlos Mencia (below), the Pussycat Dolls, Jessica Simpson , Disturbed, Filter and DJ Z-Trip go there to entertain US troops stationed in Iraq? Yes you do. And all you need is a computer when MySpaceLive! broadcasts the three-hour performance beginning at 2 p.m. EST Monday. Viewers also can contribute to a live text feed, on which they’ll be able to instantly post letters of support to the troops or direct Simpson to local restaurants that serve chicken of the desert.

Fri. 14 – Film

Eight years after “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” Jim Carrey’s doing Seuss again, this time lending his voice to the animated film “Horton Hear’s a Who!” which opens nationwide Friday. The ensemble cast also includes the voices of comedic all-stars Steve Carell, Will Arnett, Carol Burnett, Amy Poehler and Seth Rogen. (In unrelated news, Dane Cook is in it, as well.)
