Kris Jenner’s show cancelled, even with ratings stunt unveiling of Kanye & Kim’s baby

The public debut of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s baby may have set the Internet ablaze, but it wasn’t enough to keep grandma Kris Jenner’s show on the air.

Jenner has been told that her afternoon talk show, “Kris,” won’t have its six-week trial run extended by Fox, even after the ratings stunt, reports Radar Online.

“Kris did get a ratings bump for her last show when Kanye West revealed the first baby pic of daughter, North West, with Kim, but that was a one time shot in the arm and it wouldn’t be indicative of what the ratings trend would be,” the source close to the production told the gossip site.

Halfway through the August 23 episode of the show, which also featured an episode-long interview with West, the first picture of baby North was unveiled. Within seconds it shot out to even the farthest reaches of the Internet.

But the interest in what will most likely end up being the show’s final episode was not enough to save it. The show struggled from the get-go, averaging an abysmal 0.8 rating.

“It’s a very crowded market and Kris didn’t do anything to set herself apart from the field. Believe it or not, most of America doesn’t want to hear about the Kardashian’s for an hour everyday,” the source revealed.

Fox says that the show’s fate is still to be determined.

“A decision has not yet been made,” a Fox Television Stations spokesperson said in an email.

For her part, Jenner denied the rumors in tweet Wednesday afternoon

“Real,” another talk show that had a trial run during the same period is expected to be picked up by Fox.
