BILL CLINTON UNLEASHES TIRADE ON CALIFORNIA SUPERDELEGATE

Bill Clinton showed his ugly side again last week at a private meeting with California’s superdelates, according to a newspaper report.

Clinton, who’s managed to stay quiet ever since Hillary pulled him off her campaign’s frontlines after he sharply criticized opponent Barack Obama, flew off the handle after being asked about Bill Richardson’s endorsement of the Illinois sentator.

The San Francisco Gate reported that after Rachel Binah said she was “sorry” to hear that ex-Bill Clinton staffer James Carville had called Richardson “Judas” for supporting Obama, the former President blasted the influential Hispanic governor.

“Five times to my face (Richardson) said that he would never do that,” Clinton said, according to the paper.

Clinton then went criticized the media for unfair treatment of his wife and questioned the fairness of caucus votes in states that went to Obama. He also asked what would happen if people asked Obama to drop out of the race if he was just 1 percent behind Hillary, the SF Gate reported in its Matier and Ross column.

“It was very, very intense,” said one attendee, according to the report. “Not at all like the Bill of earlier campaigns.”

Clinton later took the state at the state convention and said Democrats had to “chill out” over the Democratic race.

Clinton then left a message for Binah, through State Party Chairman Art Torres, apologizing for the rant.

The snafu comes as it looks like the race between Clinton and Obama might come down to superdelegates. Clintono has won 1,500 delegates so far, and Obama has 1,632 delegates.
