MADONNA: APPLE HAS LOST ITS SIZZLE

Madonna proves she can still get hearts pumping by posing in a sexy corset and knee-high boots in the new Vanity Fair.

The sizzling photo shoot accompanies a wide-ranging interview in which the Material Mom says that New York City – once the center of her universe – is now immaterial.

The star slammed the Apple’s creative community, griping that Gotham isn’t the same “happening” city it was when she first gained fame more than 20 years ago.

“[New York City is] not the same place it used to be,” the London-based Madge tells VF.

“It still has great energy. I still put my finger in the socket. But it doesn’t feel alive, cracking with that synergy between the art world and music world and fashion world that was happening in the ’80s.”

Her interview hits newsstands here and in Los Angeles on Wednesday and nationally April 8.

Although Madonna has been the master of reinvention, the aging pop queen insisted she doesn’t pander to critics. “You have to get to a point where you care as little about getting smoke blown up you’re a- – as you do when you become a whipping boy in the press, because ultimately they both add up to s- – -,” she says in the profanity-laced interview.
