KEY FOOD ‘KILLER’ CAUGHT IN FLA

A man sought for the fatal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend inside an East Village supermarket was nabbed by Florida cops today after an “America’s Most Wanted” viewer recognized his mug on a recent segment of the show, authorities said.

James Gonzalez, 42, was found sleeping in a Salvation Army homeless shelter by detectives after the tipster – who saw the man’s profile on Saturday’s episode – called the show’s hot line, telling producers he saw the suspect check in Friday, the “America’s Most Wanted” Web site reported.

Gonzalez had been on the lam since Feb. 29, when he allegedly walked into the Key Food supermarket at Avenue A and East Fourth Street and fatally stabbed cashier Tina Negron, 24, in the chest.

Rashida Andradas, 27, who was standing with Negron in the manager’s booth, was wounded.

Negron had dated Gonzalez briefly and it is believed he stabbed her in a fit of rage after she refused to go out with him anymore, police sources said.

Detectives from the 9th Precinct were en route to Miami last night to bring Gonzalez back to New York City to face a judge.
