Tonight’s game against the Pirates at Shea Stadium has been postponed due to rain and rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 11 at 1 p.m.
Tickets for tonight’s game will be honored Aug. 11. The “Jets Night at Shea” promotion set for tonight also will be rescheduled.
The AP reports scheduled starters Johan Santana and Ian Snell of the Pirates were pushed back to Tuesday night, with Oliver Perez to match up against Tom Gorzelanny in the series finale Wednesday.
The only Mets starter who will miss a turn in the rotation is Nelson Figueroa, who was supposed to pitch Saturday at Arizona. Instead, Mike Pelfrey will pitch Saturday and Santana will take the mound again Sunday.
John Maine, who had been scheduled to pitch Wednesday, will now pitch in the series opener at Arizona on Friday night.
