THAT’S ‘SEX’-UAL STEALING

A woman shelled some $22,000 for “Sex” – but all she got was a headache.

Ella Sherman, an admitted fanatic of the former HBO show “Sex and the City,” flew to New York from her home in Singapore to see the movie spinoff’s premiere tonight in Manhattan and attend the tony after-party.

But her dreams of traipsing along like a real-life Carrie Bradshaw turned into a nightmare – and now she’s petrified that her money will be lost forever.

Sherman, a businesswoman originally from London, hoped to hobnob with the stars and planned to write about her Big Apple adventures for a leading Asian magazine.

“It was supposed to be an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience,” she told The Post yesterday. “But it’s a fiasco.”

The 30-something singleton forked over $19,000 via the Web auction site eBay on April 7 for a “Sex” package peddled by budding online travel business Destination on Location.

The trip was supposed to include five nights at either the ritzy Plaza Athenee or Alex hotel, a ticket to the premiere and after-party, shopping sprees at “Sex staples such as Jimmy Choo and Patricia Field boutiques, and downtime at the exclusive Soho House, a members-only club.

In addition, a percentage of the money was supposed to go to “Artists Against Abuse,” a charity that the travel company claimed was “Sex” star Kim Cattrall’s favorite.

Before Sherman’s big purchase, in an e-mail she showed The Post, the site’s owner told her, “We are in contact with Kim Cattrall and are awaiting what her degree of involvement will be.”

So Sherman forked over her savings. Several days later, the travel company wrote to tell her they could no longer offer tickets to the premiere and after-party.

Joanne Konstantinakos, one of the partners in Destination, said she hasn’t paid back the money to Sherman because the travel company was the victim of a fraudulent seller.

Sherman also spent more than $2,000 to fly to New York, and another $1,000 to stay in a hotel for four nights.

After a call from The Post, a rep for New Line said they will give Sherman a free ticket to the Radio City premiere tonight – but Sherman is sill down in the dumps.

“It was the after-party that was the big thing for me,” she said.
