POST REPORTERS HONORED

Sunday Post reporter Susan Edelman was honored twice this month for her series of reports on the city-governed $1 billion World Trade Center insurance fund, which spent more than $100 million on lawyers, consultants and overhead – even wining and dining – but nothing on sick Ground Zero workers.

The New York Silurians Society gave Edelman an award for excellence in news analysis. The New York Press Club gave her top honors for consumer reporting.

The Silurians, the oldest press club in the nation, also gave merit awards to two other Post reporters: Fredric U. Dicker, for his explosive revelations on the Dirty Tricks Scandal in the Spitzer administration, and Murray Weiss, for his exclusive on NBA referee Tim Donaghy’s involvement in a Mafia-connected betting ring.
