The Post’s Steve Serby goes full court with the Knicks’ new shooting guard.

Q: Best thing about New York?

A: The fans. They’re brutally honest. If they love you, they’ll tell you, and if they don’t they’ll tell you that too. I love it.

Q: What’s it like playing in front of the Garden celebrities?

A: The greatest rush you could have.

Q: Who are some of the celebs you’ve noticed?

A: Paris Hilton; J-Z; Lloyd Banks; Spike Lee; the Olsen twins; Fat Joe; Cedric the Entertainer; Chris Rock; DJ Clue; Damon Dash; Howard Stern.

Q: What drives you?

A: To be great. I want to see how good I can be. You only go through this one time.

Q: Which NBA player reminds you of you?

A: Charles Oakley said Micheal Ray Richardson. Walt Frazier said Earl Monroe.

Q: One of the reasons you went to Michigan was you loved the Fab Five.

A: They helped change college basketball, with the black socks and everything.

Q: You started wearing a headband in high school?

A: At Michigan I had my own section, the Crawford Crazies. They used to wear them.

Q: Why did you start wearing it?

A: To be different. I like being different.

Q: How are you different?

A: If we’re at a party with a bunch of celebrities, you wouldn’t even know I was there. I’m not one for the attention. That’s not my thing.

Q: It is on the court?

A: Out there I’m like J.C. Off the court, I’m Jamal.

Q: You still set your watch to West Coast time?

A: Yeah. Seattle’s always gonna be home to me.

Q: What would you want Knick fans to say about you?

A: He played every game like it was his last. He helped turn things around.

Q: Stephon Marbury?

A: A guy I was nervous about. But Steph’s been like a big brother. We went to the fight, the Yankee game …

Q: What was Yankee Stadium like?

A: An experience. The fans were so intense.

Q: You haven’t met any Yankees yet?

A: Derek Jeter seems like a cool dude. I’m into people that are not too full of themselves. Just regular.

Q: Ron Artest?

A: Intense.

Q: The Incident shocked you?

A: That looked like something out of the movies. A bad dream.

Q: Your low point?

A: When I tore my ACL.

Q: You had a problem when the Bulls drafted Jay Williams?

A: I’m coming off my ACL, this is my first real chance to play, then I had to sit behind him. It made us kinda like enemies. But the second half of the season we were cool.

Q: One person in history you’d like to meet.

A: Martin Luther King. Everything he stood for, trying to bring equality to the world.

Q: Three dinner guests?

A: Tupac Shakur; Bill Gates; Michael Jordan.

Q: Three wishes?

A: World peace; everybody to be happy; to wish for 100 more wishes.

Q: You’re stranded on a deserted island with one woman?

A: Jennifer Lopez.

Q: Your ideal mate?

A: Somebody that is fun to be around, that you can laugh with, grow with. Somebody that can help you with your weaknesses and your fears and you can do the same.

Q: Favorite athlete outside basketball?

A: Tiger Woods, Serena Williams.

Q: Fiercest competitor?

A: Michael Jordan.

Q: You played against him when he prepared for his last comeback.

A: If he lost a game, he’d sit in the corner by himself. He’ll do whatever to win. He’ll cheat.

Q: Jordan anecdotes?

A: One time we were playing, he had on some yellow Jordans that were never gonna come out. Outside he had a yellow Ferrari to match. He was in a class by himself. Even with a room full of stars, he had a different glow about him.

Q: Your grandmother was a huge Isiah Thomas fan, and you wear No. 11 because of him.

A: The way he handled the ball was mesmerizing. And he was small. People always used to root for the little guys. He was he was so instrumental in bringing me here. The second I became a free agent, he was the first to call.

Q: You live in Westchester. Will you move to Manhattan?

A: I’m looking.

Q: Favorite childhood memory?

A: The first pair of Jordans my mother bought me.

Q: Your six-year-old son Eric?

A: The best thing about life. I can have the worst day and he can brighten it up.

Q: Favorite movie?

A: Harlem Nights.

Q: Favorite actor?

A: Samuel L. Jackson.

Q: Favorite actress?

A: Halle Berry.

Q: Favorite singer/performer.

A: Jay-Z; Faith Evans.

A: Steak and potatoes.
