RIVERS TAKES ON TRUMP

JOAN Rivers has en listed in the upcoming season of “Celebrity Apprentice.”

Rivers, 75, unwittingly broke the news yesterday in The Canadian Jewish News, which was interviewing her about her visit to Montreal for the upcoming Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.

“I’m in a series called ‘Z Rock‘ coming to IFC, doing a TV pilot, offered another game show and will be on ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ ” Rivers said – adding that she’s never seen the show, a spinoff from “The Apprentice.”

“They are going to send me tapes,” she said.

The upcoming season of “Celebrity Apprentice” is scheduled to begin taping this fall for a January premiere.

This isn’t Rivers’ first go-round with the NBC series. Host Donald Trump said she’d appear in the season that premiered last January, but apparently the timing didn’t work out.

“We can’t confirm any casting until an official announcement closer to the airdate,” a show spokeswoman said yesterday.

Rivers was in London yesterday, appearing on QVC, and was unavailable for comment.

Heather Mills, Kim Kardashian, Dennis Rodman and Tony Danza are some other names bandied about as possible contestants on “Celebrity Apprentice” next season.
