MADONNA ABOUT TO ADOPT BABY GIRL: REPORT

Madonna is dipping into the Malawian adoption pool again, according to a British newspaper that reported today that she’s about to take in an orphaned 3-year-old girl.

“Madonna’s representatives have been visiting the girl,” Malawian adoption minister Penstone Kilembe told The Sun.

“The adoption is now advanced – all the government is waiting for is Madonna to forward the petition of adoption formalities.”

A rep for the Material Mom insisted she’s not planning any adoption.

“There is no truth to this rumor,” publicist Liz Rosenberg told The Post. “She is not on the cusp of adopting another child.”

Rosenberg said the only activity in Madonna’s world is frenzied preparation for a world tour that kicks off Aug. 23 in Cardiff, Wales.

Madge, who’ll turn 50 on Saturday, now has three children: Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 8, and Malawian adoptee David, 2.

The Sun reported that Madonna is head-over-heels in love with a 3-year-old Malawian girl named Mercy James.

While Madge is set on Mercy, the girl’s grandmother and uncle apparently don’t want her to be adopted overseas.

“Twice I have told the adoption people that I do not want Mercy to go outside the country,” grandmother Lucy Chekechiwa, 60, said.

“But they keep on at us. Now they say that Mercy will be leaving us, but can return at age 18.”

Madonna denied that the two were having an affair. Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia are in the midst of divorce proceedings and Cynthia said Madonna stole A-Rod’s heart.
