OFFICIALS in Moscow are having a cow over an episode of “South Park” and are now trying to have the show banned.
The episode, called “Mr. Hankey’s Christmas Classics” aired in Russia last winter and prosecutors say it “bore signs of extremist activity,” and fear that it could have provoked ethnic conflict.”
Apparently they were turned off by the singing human feces, Mr. Hankey, and a round-robin of frequent “South Park” guest stars, including Satan and Adolph Hitler putting on a variety show.
Russian officials are asking the court to toss the show from the country’s 2×2 adult cartoon network, a frequent target of conservative Russian groups.
“It offends the honour and dignity of Christians and Muslims alike,” Moscow prosecutors said this week in a statement.
