PUT down that glass of water – it could kill you!
According to Irene Salina’s eye-opening documentary “Flow,” 500,000 to 7 million US residents are sickened by tap water each year. That’s due in great part to the 160,000 manmade chemicals that find their way into public-water systems.
No prob, we’ll all drink bottled water! We could – but there are compelling reasons not to. The plastic bottles that H20 comes in are strangling landfills, and many of the companies that bottle water (Nestle, Coke, etc.) are stealing the vital resource from public land.
Egads! What do we do? First we see “Flow,” then we think twice each time we’re tempted to pay $3 for a small bottle of something that some greedy corporation got for nothing. (Movie houses are especially notorious for their prices.)
I have already stopping buying a bottle a day to bring to the office.
