A Madison Square Garden cook was fatally mowed down in Brooklyn early yesterday by an alleged drunk driver — who was nabbed by cops after smashing his car into a fence at a baseball field.
Cops identified the victim as Karin Eberts-Ayub, 53, of Gravesend.
She was struck by a 2012 Ford Fusion that jumped the curb at about 2 a.m. and found lying face down on a sidewalk at Braggs Street and Shore Parkway in Sheepshead Bay.
Steven Calandrillo, 25, was arrested at the scene and charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, DWI and other charges.
Eberts-Ayub was a talented painter and a prep cook for several years at MSG.
Eberts-Ayub’s aunt told The Post she was looking forward to time off this summer.
“I wonder why she was walking around at the time of night,” Jacquelyn Eberts said.
