Catsimatidis: Campaigning is a ‘working vacation’

When you’re a billionaire, running a campaign for mayor in the nation’s largest city isn’t a lifestyle changer.

In fact, for GOP contender John Catsimatidis, the race is a “working vacation.”

“I’m the type of person that gets it all done,” the supermarket and oil mogul said Monday.

“I spent time with my kids and I spent time with my wife. . . For me, it was a working vacation — where we all spent time together.”

Other mayoral contenders said they’ve been forced to put off chores until after the primary.

“Thank God, Kim found time to do the wash yesterday, ’cause otherwise, you know, there might’ve been a candidate walking around in a lot dirty clothes for the next 48 hours,” said Democratic candidate Christine Quinn, referring to her wife, Kim Catullo.
