Prisoner No. 09-R-3260’s new look

Plaxico Burress has a bling-free, clean-shaven look to go with his new number.

State prison officials yesterday released the official mug shot for the gunslinging former Giant, and it shows him bereft of both his goatee and his big diamond earrings.

He doesn’t look very happy.

The mugshot also shows his new, Packers-green jail uniform. It doesn’t show Burress’ new number, which is printed just above the front pocket: 09-R-3260.

Burress was sentenced Tuesday to two years prison for accidentally shooting himself in the thigh with his unlicensed Glock as he stood drinking in the crowded VIP vestibule of the Latin Quarter nightclub in Manhattan last November.

He’s been suspended by the NFL for at least the duration of his sentence.

He’s currently one of the 586 involuntary guests at the upstate minimum security Ulster Correctional Facility in Napanoch.

The Ulster County pokey is an intake facility where he’ll be evaluated and assigned a more permanent prison placement within the coming weeks, said state corrections spokeswoman Linda Foglia.

The star wide-receiver — who famously caught the game-winning touchdown pass for 2008 Super Bowl XLII — left his 3-year-old son, Elijah, and his pregnant wife, Tiffany, behind in his Totowa, NJ, mansion.

With good behavior, he’ll be a free man in June 2011.

Had he not pleaded down to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, he’d have been virtually guaranteed of conviction on the top charge in his indictment, criminal gun possession, which carries a mandatory minimum of 3½ years.

The Giants cut him loose soon after his arrest, costing him the $27 million remaining on his contract.
