Devils’ Pandolfo on mend after shoulder surgery

The initial word is that Jay Pandolfo’s right shoulder surgery Tuesday was a success and that the lifetime Devils left winger will be ready for training camp in September.

Pandolfo underwent surgery to repair a damaged labrum suffered when checked by ex-teammate Mike Rupp in Pittsburgh Oct. 24. He returned to action in December, but played despite the injury, enduring a season to forget and he did not see action in the Devils’ five-game playoff flop.
