‘Drunk driver’ drops dime on self

CAMBRIA, NY — An upstate man was arrested after he called 911 and reported that he was too drunk to drive, according to police.

The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office told Buffalo’s YNN cable-TV news network that the Lockport resident was driving on a rural road in the neighboring town of Cambria late Wednesday night when he called emergency dispatchers to report that he was drunk and wouldn’t drive any farther because he didn’t want to hurt anyone.
