After describing the show’s controversial cast members as “not my type of Italians,” Schirripa railed against Obama for watching the series.

“That’s why the country’s in the shape it’s in,” Schirripa said. “Obama is watching ‘Jersey Shore’ instead of taking care of the country.”

At the dinner Saturday, Obama joked that “Jersey Shore” cast members Snookie, J-Woww and the Situation “will be excluded from the indoor tanning tax” included in the health care legislation.

Schirripa is best known for his role as Bobby Baccalieri in “The Sopranos.”
