Convicted cop killer Dexter Bostic to be charged with attempted murder

Convicted cop killer Dexter Bostic is set to be charged with attempted murder tomorrow for shooting and robbing a man — one day before he killed Officer Russel Timoshenko during a routine traffic stop in Brooklyn, law-enforcement sources said.

Bostic and his partner, Robert Ellis, are expected in Queens Criminal Court for arraignment on charges of attempted murder, robbery, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

Bostic allegedly used the same .45 caliber gun to shoot Carl Field, 28, on July 8, 2007 as he did the next night when he murdered Timoshenko.

Herman Yan, Timoshenko’s partner, was wounded in the shootout.

Bostic is currently serving a life sentence for Timoshenko’s slaying and Ellis is behind bars for 15 years for weapons possession.
