Cavaliers’ Jack, Lakers’ Hill reportedly on Nets’ radar

SALT LAKE CITY — With the trade deadline two days away, the Nets appear to be casting around for options to improve their team.

One such option could be a trade for Cavaliers guard Jarrett Jack, with ESPN reporting Jason Terry could be sent to Cleveland. Jack is owed two more years of salary than Terry for about $13 million total, which is why Cleveland would be interested. For the Nets, Jack would be another point guard to play behind or with Deron Williams and Shaun Livingston.

Multiple reports also had the Nets talking to the Lakers about big man Jordan Hill, whom the Nets would acquire using the Disabled Player Exception they received after Brook Lopez was lost for the season.

Hill would give the Nets another active big, but would come with a hefty price tag. Such a deal would send the Nets’ total payroll and luxury tax commitments north of $200 million for this season if no other moves were made.
