‘Ice-pick’ charges

The suspected ice-pick mugger who allegedly robbed at least six women in Manhattan and The Bronx was hit with a slew of charges yesterday after being extradited from New Jersey.

Ex-con John Martinez, 39, is charged with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property for a crime spree that targeted women in Co-op City in The Bronx and Stuyvesant Town in Manhattan, police said.

Martinez, who had spent 10 years in prison for robbery, agreed to return to Manhattan during a New Jersey court proceeding yesterday.
