In “Don’t Kill the Drug That Saved My Mom” (PostOpinion, Dec. 15), Josh Turnage implores the Food and Drug Administration to not withdraw its approval of the cancer-fighting drug Avastin.
Welcome to ObamaCare. This considered withdrawal has nothing to do with the drug’s efficacy, but everything to do with its yearly price tag.
ObamaCare has targeted therapies that don’t fit the plan. Recall the discussions when it was suspected that panels of bureaucrats would participate in health-care rationing (HCR). Unfortunately, Sarah Palin labeled them “death panels,” and she (and the notion) was dismissed as ludicrous and out of bounds.
Turnage’s mom is the poster mom for HCR.
