Lindsay Lohan ‘shocked and upset’ as VH1 confirms dad’s appearance on ‘Celebrity Rehab’

LOS ANGELES — Though Lindsay Lohan appeared less than thrilled about the prospect of her dad appearing on the next season of “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew,” VH1 confirmed to NewsCore Thursday that Michael Lohan will indeed be among the cast of season five.

Friends close to the 24-year-old actress, who has been in rehab five times herself, told TMZ she was not given any warning and was “shocked and upset” by the news.

Michaele and Tareq Salahi, the notorious couple who crashed a White House state dinner, were heavily tipped to join Michael on the show. However, the network has only confirmed Michaele Salahi as a cast member.

Chinese actress Bai Ling and former “Baywatch” star Jeremy Jackson are also among the celebs set for treatment from Dr. Drew Pinsky, though former New York Mets pitcher Dwight “Doc” Gooden, another tipped to take part, has not been named as a participant.

Amy Fisher, the woman who shot the wife of her much older lover at age 17, was a surprise addition to the list of patients for the Pasadena, Calif., based show. Since serving jail time for her teenage crime of passion, Fisher has pursued a career in the adult entertainment industry.

No details were provided on exactly what the patients will be treated for by the celebrity doctor.
