Bravo’s Andy Cohen says PS 22 chorus was ‘horrible’ during Oscar performance

While most people didn’t like Oscar hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway, no one seemed to have a beef with a chorus of kids from Staten Island who sang at the Oscars.

Apparently, Andy Cohen had a problem with them.

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” this morning, Cohen, Bravo’s senior vice president of original programming and development, blasted the fifth graders from PS 22 who sang “Over the Rainbow” to close out the Academy Awards on Sunday night.

“There was a thing called ‘Up With People’ in the ’70s or ’80s. … Oscar night is not about ‘Up With People.’ Like, I don’t need to see that,” he said. “It was just bad. It was just awful. It was horrible.”

Cohen didn’t mince words.

“I literally, if I wasn’t going to go out to some parties, I would have slit them right then. It was the worst. I was looking for a knife to stick in my eyes. It was so terrible.”
