Sheen blindsided by sons being removed from house

Charlie Sheen may be living a fantasy life, but reality finally hit last night — after his twin 2-year-olds were removed from his home.

Sheen said Wednesday that after his sons were removed from his house overnight, he’s “very calm and focused” but ready to fight to get them back.

Interviewed live on NBC’s “Today” show, Sheen said the nearly 2-year-old twins, Bob and Max, were removed after a court order was granted to his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, who is their mother.

Mueller is claiming the youngsters shouldn’t be raised in that environment, where Sheen lives with his two “goddess” girlfriends and where partying that Sheen has described as “epic” has taken place.

The star of CBS’ “Two and a Half Men” appealed on camera to Mueller “to reach out to me” to discuss the situation.

He said he doesn’t know where the boys were taken.

Moments after the “Today” interview, Sheen told reporters outside his Los Angeles home that the legal move caught him by surprise.

“It came out of the bleachers, actually,” he said. “Yeah, I was told a restraining order was being delivered and I thought, ‘OK, I can deal with that.’ And it was revealed that it was something much more serious.”

Asked why Mueller got the court order, he replied, “It’s just silly. I think she’s latching on to some of this recent press.”

Los Angeles police media relations Officer Cleon Joseph confirmed the Sheen kids were taken away.

“Last night police did respond based on the court order and the kids were taken,” he said. The officer furnished no more details.

“My fangs are dripping tiger blood,” Sheen, 45, told the RadarOnline after the kids were removed.

It’s not clear whether the custody is permanent.

Sheen, who is also reportedly seeking full custody of his kids, later tweeted that: “My sons’ [sic] are fine . . . My path is now clear . . . Defeat is not an option!”

When asked by The Post for his reaction, he sent a wink text message — ;)

Earlier in the day, Mueller’s lawyer filed paperwork claiming that Sheen made several “specific, descriptive threats” to Mueller, Radar said.

“I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom,” Sheen threatened, according to TMZ.

The judge ordered Sheen to stay at least 100 yards away from his soon-to-be ex.

The actor initially passed it off as a big joke.

“Great,” he told TMZ. “I was already planning on staying 100 parsecs away from her.”

For non-“Star Wars” fanatics, a parsec equals 3.26 light years.

Sheen last week went to the Bahamas with Mueller, his new girlfriends, Natalie Kenly and Rachel Oberlin, and the boys.

But Mueller stormed home after an argument with Sheen.

Sheen has said his new girlfriends are “goddesses” for helping raise the kids.

“If I can’t be there, they’re there,” he said. “Everybody helps out — there’s nothing broken here.”

Mueller, 33, and Sheen last month reached a divorce settlement — including an agreement that she’d have primary custody. Their marriage is set to officially end on May 2.

They separated after Sheen pulled a knife on her during a drunken argument on Christmas 2009.

Sheen has antagonized his bosses at CBS over the past week, threatening to sue them for canceling the rest of the season of “Two and a Half Men” because of his bizarre behavior.
