Dream Hotel sued over nightmare rape

A Rhode Island tourist filed suit this morning against a swanky Midtown hotel where she was raped inside her room by an evil employee.

The victim’s vacation horror unfolded two days after Christmas 2009, when she was sexually attacked about 3 a.m. while slumbering inside the posh Dream Hotel on West 55th Street.

Her Manhattan federal court suit seeks unspecified damages from corporate parent Surrey Hotel Associates for alleged negligent hiring, supervision and training of Jaime Marin Lopez Mendoza.

Mendoza was convicted of first-degree rape in January and sentenced to 15 years in prison, court papers say.

The creep reportedly preyed on the woman after helping her and her boyfriend into their room after they stumbled back from a night of hard drinking.

A spokesman for the hotel — which boasts on its Web site of offering “surreal luxury, playful attitude, and intuitive service” — didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
