O’Reilly jumps to Henry Holt

Fox News talk-show host Bill O’Reilly is dumping his book publisher and jumping to Henry Holt to write a memoir in a deal believed to be worth in the mid-seven figures.

“Let’s put it this way: I am very happy with it,” said O’Reilly, who declined to discuss specifics. “It’s more than I deserve.”

The contract is apparently separate from O’Reilly’s first work of historical non-fiction, titled “Killing Lincoln,” which is due out this fall, also from Henry Holt.

The agreement was brokered by Eric Simonoff at the William Morris Agency.

O’Reilly has rung up big sales with his five past books. His memoir of growing up Catholic and middle class on Long Island, “A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity,” was a mega-bestseller for the Broadway imprint of Random House Inc.

He more recently penned a political book “Pinheads and Patriots” for Harper Collins, which, like The Post and Fox News, is owned by News Corp.

Steve Rubin, who was president of Broadway, left and landed as president and publisher of Holt, where he has been trying to raise the house’s profile.
