Lazard leases

Investment bank Lazard renewed its office lease at 30 Rockefeller Plaza for 21 years, effective June 2012, for 370,000 square feet. Cushman & Wakefield Chairman John Cushman, Vice Chairman Tara Sta com and Cynthia Foster led the team for Lazard. Swanke Hayden Connell Architects will redesign the offices.

Buffett pay

Berkshire Hathaway chief Warren Buffett was paid a $100,000 salary for the 30th straight year.

Sahara folds

The Sahara Hotel & Casino, among a few Las Vegas Strip resorts left from the Rat Pack era, will close May 16.

Fortress Investment Group chief Daniel Mudd may face Securities and Exchange Commission claims over misleading investors about Fannie Mae’s exposure to sub prime loans when he ran the mortgage firm.

The outside lawyer con ducting Hewlett-Packard’s independent probe of Mark Hurd’s departure as CEO filed a letter in fed eral court asking for more time to interview com pany directors for his re port. Hurd declined to agree to the delay.
