WHEN boyfriends Brent and Josh bought the 1802 Beekman farmhouse in Sharon Springs, NY, they couldn’t prepare for how it would overtake their lives. This season, advertising exec Josh wants to leave his job and live with Brent full-time at the farm, but it must first generate enough income. Season two introduces a new character — handyman Dan — and brings back many familiar faces, including Brent’s former employer, Martha Stewart, Rosie O’Donnell and Marcus Samuelsson.

An old enemy

VETERAN detective Fitch (Michael Imperioli) is enjoying some quality time with his son, Bobby (Vadim Imperioli), when Albert Stram, a shady figure from his past, makes his presence known in Detroit. Fitch doesn’t usually let this kind of stuff bother him, but Stram’s threats have him worried. Meanwhile, the other detectives are called to the scene of a homicide and find an entire family brutally murdered. Fitch tries to put the pieces of the puzzle together and asks Washington (James McDaniel) to protect Bobby, then goes on an extremely dangerous mission to trap Stram.

Not everyone loves children

OH my goodness. Richard (James Pickens Jr.) is desperate for Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) to accept Adele (Loretta Devine) into their Alzheimer’s trial, but she’s not that cooperative. Meanwhile Mark (Eric Dane) and Arizona have conflicting ideas of the kind of baby shower Callie (Sara Ramirez) wants. Teddy is freaked out when Henry has another health complication — leaving them both a little exposed — and the competitiveness amongst the residents for the Chief Resident position is amplified when Richard receives the green light for his diabetes clinical trial.

Ladies who lunch

PEGGY (Tony winner Rondi Reed) asks Molly (Melissa McCarthy) to a friendly lunch. After all, Molly has been dating Peggy’s son, Mike (Billy Gardell), for a while now and it would be nice to get better acquainted. Molly goes along with the date but her beau is worried that mom is going to reveal some unflattering stories about his childhood. Co-starring Swoosie Kurtz and Reno Wilson.
