Bam’s bracket racket

THE ISSUE: Pres. Obama’s focus on NCAA tournament brackets despite important world events.

President Obama should worry about fixing the national debt instead of filling out his NCAA men’s basketball tournament bracket (“Obama Goes With Favorites in Final Four,” March 16).

Obama making basketball picks while the world burns is as close as we will ever get to experiencing what Roman citizens felt about Nero fiddling.

There is something seriously wrong with Obama.

I’m glad to read that the president found time to fill out his NCAA brackets.

It’s not like the Mideast is a mess, a nuclear disaster of epic proportions is about to take place or gas will soon be $5 a gallon.

Where are all the people who railed at George W. Bush’s inaction during Hurricane Katrina?

I don’t have a problem with the president’s activities.

The more he plays golf, the less time he has to win the future by destroying the present.

Where is the liberal outcry?

Despite the turmoil in the Mideast and the disaster in Japan, one of our biggest trade partners, Obama still found time to play golf and fill out his NCAA bracket.

If Bush acted this way, every liberal Democrat would be calling for his impeachment.

I must hand it to Obama — between golf and vacations, he still found time to make his March Madness picks. That’s what I call multi-tasking.

He does the work of three men: Larry, Curly and Moe.
