MILWAUKEE — Ex-Knick All-Star Latrell Sprewell, a Milwaukee resident, sat front-row, courtside at Bradley Center yesterday and took in his first Knicks game since his 2005 retirement.
Sprewell had a messy ending with the Knicks and said he preferred not to comment on their new superstar alignment, other than to say, “I’m glad Melo’s happy.”
“At least there’s no more controversy,” Sprewell said. “Or not like it was.”
Sprewell is friends with Milwaukee’s John Salmons, who shook his hand before an inbounds pass.
At one point, the fans chanted “Sprewell’s better” when Anthony shot free throws.
