Depp ‘Short’ stop

OK — so Johnny Depp does have a sense of humor.

Depp, one of the Hollywood celebs skewered by Ricky Gervais during January’s Golden Globes, now wants to guest-star in the British comic’s new series.

Depp is re-arranging his schedule in order to accommodate an appearance on “Life’s Too Short,” Gervais’ new BBC sitcom, according to deadline.com.

The six-episode series, written by Gervais and Stephen Merchant, will follow the life of an egomaniacal talent agent — who’s also a little person running an agency that finds work for fellow little people.

Warwick Davis stars in the series, which begins filming in England in May and is expected to air on HBO (like Gervais’ BBC series, “Extras“).

Gervais, who hosted the Golden Globes, needled a slew of celebs, including Depp and his “The Tourist” co-star, Angelina Jolie.

“It was a big year for 3-D movies: ‘Toy Story.’ ‘Despicable Me.’ ‘Tron,’ ” he said.

“Seems like everything this year was three-dimensional–except the characters in ‘The Tourist.’ ”

Depp grudgingly smiled at the jab, but appeared to be visibly annoyed.
