Bus in fatal deliveryman hit-run found

The city bus that kept going after fatally hitting a bicycle-riding deliveryman last night on the Upper East Side has been found.

The bus was identified once it arrived at a Yonkers depot earlier this morning after the driver completed his shift, said MTA spokesman Charles Seaton.

“We examined all possible buses as they came into the depot,” said Seaton.

The driver will be interviewed by the NYPD and drug and alcohol testing will be performed, he added.

The bus was traveling southbound on Second Avenue near East 96th Street when Qi Yu Weng, 28, fell off his electric bike just after 4 p.m. and was run over, police said.

Weng, 28, who was also going south on Second, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus – an out of service express bus heading to its route – kept going, the driver apparently unaware he had struck someone, cops and witnesses said.

There appears to be no criminality, cops said.
