Giants quarterback Eli Manning and wife welcome baby girl

Oh, baby!

Giants quarterback Eli Manning can add the title of dad to go with his Super Bowl ring.

Manning and his wife Abby celebrated the birth on Monday of their first child, ESPN.com reported today.

Manning’s daughter, named Ava Frances, weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces, ESPN NFL insider Chris Mortensen tweeted.

The Post’s Page Six was the first to report last month that the couple was expecting a girl.

The NFL star and his 26-year-old wife, who live in Hoboken during the season, had been busy over the past few weeks preparing for the arrival of little Ava Frances at their other home in Oxford, Miss.

The Post first reported last October that the couple were expecting their first child.

The Mannings met while both were attending the University of Mississippi. They were married in April 2008.

Manning, who has played with the Giants since 2004, led Big Blue to a Super Bowl in 2008.

Manning was named the Super Bowl XLII MVP after completing 19-of-34 passes for 255 yards, including throwing two touchdowns.

Originally a 1st round draft pick choice by the San Diego Chargers, he was obtained by the Giants in a trade.

Manning is the son of former NFL quarterback Archie Manning and younger brother of Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.
