Rapper Jim Jones busted for driving with suspended license in SoHo

Rapper Jim Jones was busted earlier today for driving his 2011 Bentley in a SoHo bus lane with a suspended license, police said.

Jones, 34, was cruising in his luxury sedan when cops spied him committing the traffic infraction on Broadway, just south of Prince Street, around 12 p.m., police added.

Jones – born Joseph G. Jones – was pulled over in front of the Scholastic Auditorium.

A check of motor vehicle records showed that his license had previously been yanked and Jones was arrested, police said.

He was taken to the First Precinct, charged with driving with a suspended license and issued a desk appearance ticket, said a police spokesman.

Jones was released from custody and must appear in court in 30 days.

“We are now looking into Jimmy’s license situation and will get to the bottom of it,” said Jones’ lawyer, Scott Leemon.

Jones is already in legal hot water, facing a lawsuit from two Texan women who claim they didn’t give the rapper permission to use images of them frolicking half-naked on a Miami beach for his “Summertime” music video.

Lone Star lovelies Sharie Johnson and Samantha Stotts filed papers in February in Manhattan Supreme Court, saying they want compensation and the clip to be yanked from YouTube immediately.

Jones, born in the Bronx and reared in Harlem, is a founding member of the Diplomats, featuring hip-hop superstars Cam’ron and Juelz Santana.

Santana had his own brush with the law recently.

He missed a performance late last Tuesday with bad-boy Chris Brown at Webster Hall after being stopped at the door by police, Page Six previously reported.

His vehicle was searched for weapons and drugs and he was ordered not to enter the nightclub.

Santana is currently out on $125,000 bail after authorities raided his New Jersey studio last month and discovered two loaded handguns and marijuana.
